Words on Music: Impossible Cocktail Palavras sobre Música: Coktail Impossível

The "intent" or "meaning" in music for centuries has worried the aesthetes, musicians and philosophers.

The treaties stack up and, usually, they can only join words to a problem already dark within itself.

However, we continue to try to shed light on the mystery.

In human kind, there is an effort to clarify, rationalize, justify, analyze, delimit, and write.

There is also a great need to "explain" music!

And for that we use all the ploys:

adulation, modesty, flattery, oversimplification, free entertainment, great stories, in the words of L.Bernstein, "explanations like the bird-bee or riverside, turning all the notes or chords or phrases into clouds or rocks, ... tells us stories about great composers, as false as they are displaced."

We also have the effort of "analysis" ... vain attempt ... Something like:

the subject of-the inversion-charge-of flutes ...

"Musical geography"?

Musical explanations ... that tell us nothing about "music".

We can in fact, try not to explain music, but listen actively and redefine "music".

We should refer, sometimes, to certain musical ideas like religion, social factors or historical currents that may have influenced music.

A "intenção" ou o "significado" , em música tem durante séculos preocupado os estetas, os músicos e os filósofos.
Empilham-se os tratados e, normalmente, só conseguem juntar-se palavras a um problema já de si obscuro.
No entanto, continuamos a tentar fazer luz sobre o mistério.
Por parte dos homens, há um esforço para esclarecer,racionalizar, justificar, analisar, delimitar, escrever.
Há também uma grande necessidade de "explicar" música!
E para tanto utiliza-se de todos os estratagemas:
adulação, modéstia, lisonja, super-simplificação, divertimento gratuito, grandes historietas, no dizer de L.Bernstein, "explicações do tipo pássaro-abelha ou ribeirinho,e transformando todas as notas ou frases ou acordes em nuvens ou rochas, ...conta-nos histórias sobre grandes compositores, tão falsas quanto deslocadas."
Temos também o esforço da "análise"...vã tentativa...Algo como :
o  tema-na inversão-a cargo -das flautas...
"Geografia" musical?
Explicações musicais ...que nada nos dizem sobre " a música".
Podemos sim, tentar não explicar  música, mas escutarmos ativamente e ressignificarmos  "a música".
Devemos recorrer, por vezes, a certas idéias extramusicais, como religião,fatores sociais ou correntes históricas que possam ter influenciado a música.
