What a pair: “Fritz Wunderlich and Hubert Gieser” Que dupla: "Fritz Wunderlich e Hubert Gieser"

The interpretations of these two great artists of German Lied are still alive and well. In particular the comprehension of the music played by pianist Hubert Gieser is illuminating and flawless and I say the same about tenor F. Wunderlich.

A few comments about his wife, Eva Wunderlich and Peter Karger, for whom he sang for the last time, when the day before his departure he said farewell to his friend and soon afterwards he fell down some stairs and got a skull fracture.

He died the next day… That was in 1966 and he was only 36 years old!  “He didn’t act in just any way… he transformed himself for that.” “He opened in himself a trunk… and he would spread himself when he would sing.” “He always sang as if it were the last time.” “He is absolutely happy with what he does.”

Em especial a compreensão da música pelo pianista Hubert Gieser é   luminosa e  impecável  e digo o mesmo do tenor F.Wunderlich.
Alguns comentários de sua esposa, Eva Wunderlich e de Peter Karger,  para quem  ele cantou pela última vez, quando na véspera de sua partida para os EUA  se despedia  do amigo, e logo em seguida caiu de uma escada e teve fratura craniana . 
Faleceu no dia seguinte...Isso foi em 1966, e ele  tinha 36 anos!
