What´s "Elegy"?

"Elegy" is a  repertoire characterized by poetic and romantic themes and a faint presence of melancholy. This concert is composed by re-creations and transcriptions of several erudits and popular musisians of the world. Nine 'elgies' were re-created by Zelia Marao on original's themes of the following composers: 
Sivuca; Chico Buarque and Ruy Guerra; J. Lennon and P. McCartney; Tom Jobim; Violeta Parra;Piazzolla; I. Albeniz and A. Dvoräk. The transcriptions re-interpreted by the pianist Zelia Marao on musics of Mendelssohn; Janaceh, Beethoven and Brahms were included too.
All interprtations are made by "Quarteto AGHA": piano (Zelia Marao), violin (Dorin Tudoras), viola (Bruno Carlos) and cello (Gustavo Lessa).
